Innovative faculty use a variety of instructional and assessment techniques, many of which require that students engage with and develop multimedia. To support such work, CII trainers can deliver workshops tailored to fit the specific needs of students in degree-credit classes. For example, the CII can show students how to create movies, build websites, visualize data, and develop other skills necessary to realize their instructors’ pedagogical visions.
Working through a CII instructional designer, faculty can reserve up to 30 software-loaded laptops for their students for up to three weeks. Plus, the Digital Aquarium checks out cameras and other multimedia equipment to students so that access to technology never becomes a barrier to innovation.
